Ted Reichman has been on the faculty of the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts for over ten years. He has worked with some of the top young artists in creative music including Simon Hanes, Wendy Eisenberg and Steve Long. At NEC, he developed a curriculum on aesthetics and techniques of recording, coaches ensembles in the Contemporary Musical Arts and Jazz Studies departments, and teaches private lessons on composition, improvisation and technology. He was an Assistant Professor of Film Scoring at the Berklee College of Music for four years.
May 1, 2025 - I am currently accepting a limited number of private students for lessons in:
Audio production and DAW skills like recording and mixing. Logic is my main DAW but I also work in Pro Tools and frequently teach students who use Ableton.
Electronic music technique (synthesis, sampling, effects, etc.) with an emphasis on experimental music concepts.
Film scoring (synchronization with video, working with sample libraries and virtual instruments, elements of dramatic composition, collaboration, project management etc.)
Lessons will be on Zoom. I am currently scheduling from May to August. Please contact me for more information.
